Jason Kent Bateman was born on January 14, 1969, in Rye, New York. He began his career as a child actor in the early 1980s, appearing in shows like Little House on the Prairie and The Hogan Family. Bateman rose to prominence with his role as Michael Bluth in the cult sitcom Arrested Development (2003–2019), which earned him widespread recognition for his sharp comedic timing. He later reinvented himself in darker roles, most notably as Marty Byrde in Netflix’s crime drama Ozark (2017–2022), a performance that won him a Primetime Emmy Award and solidified his reputation as a serious dramatic actor.
