Biography

Laksh Lalwani, professionally known as Lakshya, is an Indian actor and model who has made a striking transition from television to film. Born on April 19, 1996, in New Delhi, Laksh initially aspired to join the Indian Army. His entry into the entertainment industry was unexpected—he accompanied a friend to auditions for Roadies X1 and was spotted by producer Vikas Gupta, who encouraged him to audition for a television show. This led to his debut in MTV’s Warrior High (2015), where he played Parth Samthaan.

Laksh gained recognition through roles in Adhuri Kahaani Hamari and Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil, but his breakthrough came with Sony TV’s historical drama Porus (2017–2018), where he portrayed the titular warrior. The show, reportedly one of India’s most expensive TV productions, showcased his acting range and physical prowess.

In 2019, Laksh signed a three-film deal with Dharma Productions, marking his entry into Bollywood. Although initial projects like Dostana 2 and Bedhadak were shelved, he made his film debut with Kill (2023), an action thriller that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and earned him the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Male. His portrayal of Amrit, a stoic army man battling dacoits on a train, was praised for its intensity.

Laksh is set to appear in Aryan Khan’s streaming series The Ba*ds of Bollywood and Vivek Soni’s romantic drama Chand Mera Dil alongside Ananya Panday. With a growing portfolio and a resilient spirit, Laksh Lalwani is emerging as a promising face in Indian cinema.
