Biography
Thanuja Puttaswamy, also known as Thanuja Gowda, is a celebrated Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil television and cinema. Born on March 5, 1997, in Bangalore, Karnataka, she grew up in a middle-class family with strong values. Her father, Puttaswamy, and mother, Savithri, supported her passion for the performing arts while encouraging academic excellence. She has two sisters—Anuja, an advocate, and Pooja, an engineer—who inspired her with their discipline and dedication.
Thanuja completed her education at Bangalore University and began her career with modeling and college drama competitions. Her film debut came with the Kannada horror-thriller 6-5=2 (2013), followed by Dhande Boys. However, her breakthrough arrived in Telugu television with the serial Mudda Mandaram (2014–2019), where she played the iconic role of Parvathi. The show ran for over 1,500 episodes and earned her widespread acclaim and a loyal fanbase2.
