Arvind Kejriwal As Delhi Bill Clears Rajya Sabha : "Sad Day For Democracy"

New Delhi: Soon after the section of GNCTD revision bill in the Rajya Sabha, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said it was a "tragic day" for the majority rules system and focused on that his battle to reestablish power back to individuals would proceed.
The Parliament passed the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2021 that gives more powers to the Lieutenant Governor. It was passed in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
"RS passes GNCTD correction bill. A miserable day for the Indian popular government. Will proceed with our battle to reestablish power back to individuals. Whatever be the impediments, we will keep accomplishing great work. Work will neither stop nor delayed down," he tweeted.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia considered it a "dull day" for the majority rules system.

"Today is a dull day for popular government. The privileges of the public authority chose by individuals of Delhi have been removed and given over to LG. The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday endorsed the bill offering power to Delhi's Lieutenant Governor (L-G) over the chosen government after extreme emotion in the House that saw ruckus by the resistance and a walkout by MPs of gatherings like the BJD, SP, Congress, and the YSR-Congress.
