The film traces his rise from a talented youngster in Bengal to becoming the fearless leader who transformed Team India with his bold leadership and aggressive mindset. It captures defining moments such as his debut century at Lord’s, his iconic jersey-waving celebration after the NatWest Trophy win in 2002, and his battles with selectors and coaches. At its core, the biopic celebrates Ganguly’s grit, resilience, and conviction that reshaped Indian cricket’s mindset and inspired an entire generation. Rajkummar Rao undergoes a major transformation to embody Ganguly’s left-handed batting style and charismatic presence, while the supporting cast portrays key figures in his personal and professional life. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films, the movie promises to be both a cinematic spectacle and an inspiring tribute to “Dada.”
