Story

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and co-written with Sumit Roy, Homebound is a poignant drama based on Basharat Peer’s story A Friendship, a Pandemic and a Death Beside the Highway. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor. It follows two childhood friends from a North Indian village chasing police jobs that promise dignity, but desperation and systemic challenges strain their bond. The film explores friendship, ambition, and the harsh realities of social inequality.
