Story

Krrish is a landmark Indian superhero film directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. Serving as a sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya (2003), the movie continues the saga of Rohit Mehra’s family, focusing on his son Krishna, played by Hrithik Roshan. Born with extraordinary powers, Krishna grows up sheltered by his grandmother (Rekha), who fears the outside world might exploit him. His life changes when he meets Priya (Priyanka Chopra), a journalist who introduces him to modern society. Circumstances force Krishna to embrace his destiny as the masked superhero “Krrish,” using his powers to fight evil. The antagonist, Dr. Siddhant Arya (Naseeruddin Shah), is a megalomaniac scientist who seeks to manipulate time and control the future, setting up a battle of epic proportions. The film blends action, romance, and science fiction, with breathtaking stunts and visual effects that were groundbreaking for Indian cinema at the time. Rajesh Roshan’s music and Salim–Sulaiman’s background score add emotional depth to the narrative. Krrish not only became a commercial success but also established Hrithik Roshan as India’s first mainstream superhero, paving the way for sequels and expanding the genre in Bollywood.
