Shaitaan (transl. Devil) is a Hindi-language supernatural psychological horror film directed by Vikas Bahl. Based on the Gujarati film Vash by Krishnadev Yagnik, the story follows a family whose peaceful getaway turns into a nightmare when their teenage daughter becomes possessed by a sinister intruder. Ajay Devgn plays Kabir, the father determined to protect his family, while Jyothika portrays his wife, and Janki Bodiwala plays their daughter. R. Madhavan delivers a chilling performance as the antagonist who manipulates and controls the family through dark supernatural forces. The film blends psychological tension with horror elements, exploring themes of fear, helplessness, and the lengths parents will go to save their child. With Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti’s atmospheric cinematography and Amit Trivedi’s haunting score, Shaitaan creates a gripping and unsettling experience.
