Story

Tere Naam is a tragic romantic drama directed by Satish Kaushik, starring Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla in her Hindi film debut. The movie is a remake of the Tamil film Sethu (1999). It tells the story of Radhe (Salman Khan), a hot-headed college rowdy with a reputation for violence, who unexpectedly falls in love with Nirjara (Bhumika Chawla), a shy and reserved college student. Initially, Nirjara resists his advances, but over time she realizes his genuine affection and reciprocates his love. Just as their relationship begins to blossom, Radhe is brutally attacked, leaving him mentally unstable and confined to an asylum. The film poignantly portrays his descent into tragedy, highlighting themes of love, fate, and the fragility of human life. With powerful performances, especially Salman Khan’s intense portrayal of Radhe, and a soulful soundtrack composed by Himesh Reshammiya (with guest compositions by Sajid–Wajid), Tere Naam struck a deep emotional chord with audiences.
