According to early box-office estimates, Awarapan 2 collected around ₹21 crore nett in India on its first day. The film recorded approximately 45% occupancy across India, with more than 9,000 shows on its opening day. Its India gross is estimated at around ₹25.20 crore, while overseas earnings of roughly ₹2 crore take its worldwide gross to approximately ₹27.20 crore.

Other trade reports have placed the worldwide opening slightly differently, with figures around ₹27 crore to ₹28 crore, depending on the source and the stage of estimates.

Emraan Hashmi’s Biggest Opener

The opening is particularly significant because Awarapan 2 has reportedly become Emraan Hashmi’s biggest opening film. The performance has also surpassed the opening-day numbers of the original Awarapan, underlining the franchise's enduring popularity among audiences.

The film's Independence Day weekend release has provided an additional advantage. With a national holiday falling on Saturday, the movie has an opportunity to record substantial growth on Day 2. Strong word-of-mouth could further help the film maintain momentum during the extended weekend.

Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947

Awarapan 2 also emerged as the clear winner among the major Bollywood releases on Friday. The film faced competition from Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta's Batwara 1947, which reportedly opened at around ₹5.75 crore in India.

The substantial gap between the two releases gives Awarapan 2 an early advantage at the box office.

Can Awarapan 2 Reach ₹100 Crore?

The first-day performance has created a promising foundation for the film. However, reaching the ₹100-crore mark will depend on how strongly the movie holds after the holiday weekend.

If the sequel manages a major jump on Saturday and maintains steady collections through Sunday and the following weekdays, it could emerge as one of the notable Bollywood successes of 2026.

For now, Awarapan 2 has delivered a powerful opening and given Emraan Hashmi a much-needed box-office milestone. The next two days will be crucial in determining whether the film can turn its impressive debut into a long-running theatrical success.
