Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has opened up about a difficult chapter of his life involving veteran actress Amrita Singh, the mother of Sara Ali Khan. Recalling an incident from 2021, Orry described that period as one of the darkest phases of his life and claimed that Amrita had “put him through hell.”
Speaking during a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, Orry said the experience had deeply affected him at the time. He claimed that he had never experienced anything similar and described the period as extremely low and difficult.
According to Orry, the painful experience eventually changed the way he dealt with criticism and public attention. People around him had reportedly told him that he would emerge stronger from the difficult period, although he said he did not understand that perspective while he was going through it.
Orry Says 2021 Experience Made Him Stronger
Looking back, Orry said the experience ultimately made him emotionally stronger. He believes the trauma helped him develop the resilience required to deal with the criticism and online hate that came after he became a public figure.
Orry also suggested that the experience changed his emotional response to negative comments. He said that even when people insulted him, he became less affected by what others said.
When asked about what exactly happened between him and Amrita Singh, however, Orry did not reveal the details. He chose to leave the matter unexplained, saying that he would not discuss what happened between them.
Fallout With Sara Ali Khan
The alleged incident also appears to have contributed to the breakdown of Orry’s friendship with Sara Ali Khan. Orry and Sara were previously known to be close friends, but their relationship later became strained.
Orry has previously spoken about the fallout, saying that continuing to be friends with Sara would mean accepting what he described as the trauma caused by her mother. He has also indicated that an apology from Amrita Singh could potentially help him move past the issue.
The feud became more public after Orry shared social media posts that were interpreted as digs at Sara, Amrita and Sara's brother Ibrahim Ali Khan. Sara and Ibrahim subsequently unfollowed Orry on Instagram, according to reports.
Neither Sara Ali Khan nor Amrita Singh has publicly responded to Orry’s latest claims about the alleged 2021 incident, and Orry has not provided specific details about what he says happened.
