According to sources close to the production, the budget allocation itself reflects the star power driving the project. Kamal Haasan, who traditionally works on a profit-sharing model, has reportedly charged ₹220 crore for his role. Rajinikanth, meanwhile, is speculated to have taken home between ₹180–200 crore. Director Nelson Dilipkumar is said to be commanding a remuneration of around ₹70 crore, underscoring the scale and expectations surrounding the film. Together, these three names alone account for nearly ₹500 crore of the total budget.

Beyond the lead actors and director, the film will also involve a massive ensemble cast and technical crew. The making costs alone are estimated between ₹150–180 crore, covering production design, visual effects, and large-scale action sequences. This ensures that KhxRK will not only be a star-driven vehicle but also a cinematic spectacle designed to appeal to audiences across India and beyond.

The film is being produced by Inban Udhayanidhi, who is positioning KhxRK as a landmark project in Tamil cinema. With Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan sharing screen space, the film promises to be a cultural event, uniting fans of both legends. Their collaboration, decades in the making, is expected to deliver a blend of mass appeal, nuanced performances, and blockbuster entertainment.

As anticipation builds, KhxRK is more than just a film—it is a celebration of Tamil cinema’s legacy and its ability to push boundaries in scale and storytelling. With its colossal budget, powerhouse cast, and pan-Indian release strategy, the project is poised to redefine what audiences expect from big-ticket Indian films in 2026.
