The story unfolds in two timelines: one set in 1952 in a Konkan village and the other several decades later in Pune. It revolves around the legend of Munjya, inspired by Indian folklore and mythology.
In the past, a young Brahmin boy named Gotya attempted black magic to marry an older girl named Munni. However, things turned dark, and Gotya transformed into the evil creature, Munjya. Decades later, a timid young man named Bittu gets entangled in this supernatural tale in Pune.
“Munjya,” directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, recently hit theaters and emerged as a blockbuster. Now, fans eagerly await its digital release.
