‘Jailer 2’: Rajinikanth Confirms Sequel Release Date – Hits Screens June 12, 2026

Superstar Rajinikanth has officially announced the release date for his much-anticipated sequel, Jailer 2, confirming that the film will hit theatres worldwide on June 12, 2026. The announcement came as the actor returned to Chennai after wrapping up a high-octane shooting schedule in Kerala.

Directed once again by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer promises to be a mass entertainer, packed with action, drama, and star-studded cameos. Rajinikanth will reprise his role as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian, with returning cast members including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Mirnaa.

New additions to the ensemble include SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Anna Rajan, while special appearances by Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Mithun Chakraborty are set to elevate the film’s pan-India appeal.

The climax sequence was recently filmed in Palakkad, Kerala, drawing massive crowds and fanfare. Rajinikanth’s return to Chennai was met with enthusiastic cheers, as he confirmed the release date to waiting media.
