Alien: Romulus is an upcoming horror and sci-fi film that's a standalone installment in the Alien franchise. It's set to be released on August 16, 2024 and is described as a darker and more frightening take on the franchise. The movie follows a group of young people who encounter a terrifying life form while scavenging a derelict space station. It takes place between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).
