In a shocking turn of events, renowned producer Laxman Chari has alleged that he was cheated of 51 lakh by Ella Reddy, the manager of multilingual actress Anushka Shetty. The incident has come to light after Chari, head of Vishwakarma Creations, filed a complaint with the Banjara Hills police.
According to reports, Ella Reddy received 51 lakh from Chari, promising to secure call sheets from Anushka Shetty and music director Mani Sharma. However, the promised dates never materialized, leading Chari to realize that he had been deceived. This prompted him to take legal action against Reddy.
Chari also revealed that Reddy had taken him to Bangalore multiple times, claiming he would introduce him to Anushka Shetty at Moti Mahal Hotel. Despite these assurances, the introductions never happened, and Chari, along with other producers who felt cheated, sought justice at the police station.
Previously, Chari had raised the issue with the producer’s board, where Ella Reddy was reprimanded by the President of the Producers Union. However, with no return of the money, Chari decided to escalate the matter to the police.
It is important to note that actress Anushka Shetty has not been directly implicated in the scandal. The accusations primarily target her manager, Ella Reddy, and music director Mani Sharma. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the full extent of the deceit and bring justice to the affected producers.
This incident has sent shockwaves through the film industry, highlighting the need for vigilance and transparency in professional dealings. As the investigation unfolds, the industry awaits further developments in this high-profile case.
