The acquisition will give TCS greater access to MHP’s specialised expertise in the automotive and industrial sectors. MHP has capabilities across business transformation, artificial intelligence, SAP, manufacturing digitalisation, connected mobility and software-defined products. The company has more than 4,500 employees worldwide.

TCS-Porsche Five-Year Partnership

Alongside the acquisition, TCS and Porsche have entered into a five-year strategic partnership aimed at accelerating AI-powered transformation across Porsche’s mobility value chain. TCS plans to establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche.

The centre will focus on applying artificial intelligence across areas including engineering, manufacturing, operations and customer experience. The partnership reflects the growing importance of AI, software and data in the automotive industry.

The broader five-year business arrangement between TCS and Porsche is valued at approximately €1.25 billion, according to Reuters. The collaboration is expected to support AI deployment and software-led transformation across Porsche’s operations.

Why Is TCS Acquiring MHP?

The acquisition strengthens TCS’s position in Germany and the wider European automotive and industrial technology market. MHP brings decades of sector-specific consulting experience, while TCS contributes its global technology, engineering and AI capabilities.

For Porsche, the transaction supports its strategy of concentrating more closely on its core automotive business while retaining MHP as an important technology partner. Porsche and MHP are expected to continue their long-standing collaboration after the ownership change.

Importantly, MHP will continue operating as a distinct brand and independent consulting firm within TCS, subject to completion of the transaction. The acquisition remains subject to regulatory and competition approvals and is expected to close in the coming months.

The deal highlights how major technology companies and automakers are increasingly joining forces around AI and digital transformation. For TCS, acquiring MHP could deepen its automotive consulting capabilities, while Porsche gains a strategic technology partner with significant global scale.

As the automotive industry moves toward connected vehicles, software-defined mobility and AI-driven manufacturing, the TCS-MHP transaction represents a significant step in the evolving relationship between technology services and global automobile companies.
