Story

Kothalavadi is an intense action-drama directed by Sriraj, set in the drought-stricken village of Kothalavadi on the banks of the Cauvery River. The film explores how poverty and desperation push an entire community into moral compromise. A ruthless scrap dealer manipulates villagers into illegal sand mining, exploiting their vulnerability for his own gain.

As greed spreads, tragedy strikes, and blood is spilled, leading to a violent clash between three powerful figures: an iron-willed officer determined to restore justice, a betrayed enforcer seeking redemption, and a cunning politician hungry for control. The villagers, caught in the middle, must decide whether to break free from exploitation or be consumed by their own desires.

The narrative blends social commentary with gripping action, highlighting the devastating impact of corruption and greed on rural communities. With strong performances from Pruthvi Ambaar and Kavya Shaiva, supported by Avinash, Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Chethan Gandharva, and Rajesh Nataranga, the film delivers both emotional depth and thrilling sequences. The music by Vikas Vasishta and Abhinandan Kashyap, along with Ramisetty Pavan’s editing, enhances the raw intensity of the story.
