Story

Kapati (transl. Fraud/Deceiver) is a Kannada suspense thriller that delves into the dark intersections of technology, deception, and human vulnerability. The story follows Priya, a costume designer traumatized by her brother’s accident, who isolates herself in her family home. As she battles depression, eerie and inexplicable events begin to unfold around her. Priya soon realizes that her struggles are entangled with sinister forces operating through the dark web, pulling her into a psychological and supernatural conflict. The film explores themes of trust, betrayal, and the dangers of digital manipulation, while maintaining a tense atmosphere throughout. With a gripping antagonist played by Sathvik Krishnan, the narrative builds toward a chilling climax that questions reality itself. Director duo Ravikiran D and Chethan SP bring fresh energy to the Kannada thriller space, supported by Johan Shevanesh’s haunting score and the sharp cinematography of Vikram Yoganand and Sathish Rajendran.
