Story

Vidyapati is a lighthearted yet socially relevant Kannada comedy-drama that follows the life of Siddu, a free-spirited man who earns the nickname “Vidyapati” after marrying Vidya, a glamorous movie star. Siddu, played by Nagabhushana, is portrayed as a flawed yet charming husband who thrives off his wife’s fame while struggling to find his own identity. Vidya, played by Malaika T. Vasupal, represents the challenges of balancing stardom with personal life. The film cleverly mixes humor with emotional depth, exploring themes of love, responsibility, and self-discovery. The antagonist Jaggu, played by Ramachandra Raju, adds tension to the narrative, while cameo appearances by Rangayana Raghu and Dhananjaya inject additional entertainment value.
