The Golden Chariot offers two distinct routes:
 
The Golden Chariot is a luxury tourist train that offers a unique travel experience through the southern states of India. 
 
Launch & Operation: It started its maiden journey on March 10, 2008, and is operated by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC). The train was designed to reflect the heritage and luxury akin to the Palace on Wheels.
 
The train’s coaches are named after historical dynasties and are adorned in purple and gold, symbolizing elegance. It provides facilities like two restaurants, a lounge bar, a conference room, gym, and spa. Onboard internet connectivity and live television service are available in the cabins. The Golden Chariot runs various itineraries, including ‘Jewels of South’ and ‘Pride of Karnataka’, each lasting 6 nights & 7 days, and ‘Glimpses of Karnataka’, lasting 3 nights & 4 days. The routes cover significant tourist spots in Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry
