Story

L2: Empuraan (stylised as L2: E.M.P.U.R.A.A.N – Lucifer 2) is the sequel to Lucifer (2019). Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film continues the saga of Stephen Nedumpally (played by Mohanlal), who secretly leads a double life as Khureshi Ab’raam, the enigmatic head of a global crime syndicate. The movie blends epic political drama with gangster action, featuring a global cast including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Jerome Flynn, Rick Yune, and Andrea Tivadar. With cinematography by Sujith Vaassudev and music by Deepak Dev, the film expands the Lucifer universe into an international thriller. Produced jointly by Aashirvad Cinemas, Lyca Productions, and Sree Gokulam Movies, it became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of 2025.
