Story

Officer on Duty is a crime action thriller directed by Jithu Ashraf (in his directorial debut) and written by Shahi Kabir. The film stars Kunchacko Boban in the lead role as Harishankar, a demoted Circle Inspector who investigates a counterfeit gold jewelry racket. As the case spirals out of control, he becomes entangled in a dangerous web of crime that threatens both his career and life. The supporting cast includes Priyamani, Jagadish, Vishak Nair, Ramzan Muhammed, Aishwarya Raj, and Leya Mammen. With cinematography by Roby Varghese Raj, editing by Chaman Chakko, and music by Jakes Bejoy, the film blends gritty realism with suspenseful storytelling. Produced by Martin Prakkat Films, it was one of the notable Malayalam thrillers of early 2025.
