Pongala

Story

Pongala is an action revenge drama written and directed by A. B. Binil. The film stars Sreenath Bhasi in the lead role, with Baburaj, Kichu Tellus, Sampath Ram, and Alencier Ley Lopez in supporting roles. Inspired by real incidents from the early 2000s in the Vypin–Munambam coastal belt near Kochi, the story unfolds around clashes at the Vypin harbor. It follows Abi, a young man returning from prison after taking the blame for a crime he did not commit, who now seeks to rebuild his life. As he earns respect working at the harbor, he comes into conflict with Babu and his brothers who control the coastal underworld. Betrayal and violence push him to uncover the truth behind his father’s disappearance and fight for justice. Music is composed by Ranjin Raj, with cinematography by Jackson and editing by Ajas Pukkadan. Produced by Global Pictures Entertainments, the film blends gritty realism with action and emotional drama.
