Story

Valli tells the powerful story of identity, devotion, and freedom. By night, Valli is revered as a Jogta, presenting as a woman bound to a Hindu goddess in rural Maharashtra. By day, he faces isolation and harassment from the same villagers who seek his blessings. Yearning to live his truth as a man, Valli plans a dangerous escape with his only friend, Tara. The film explores the devastating cost of breaking free from rigid religious traditions. Adapted from the novel Touch of My Shadow, it has already gained international acclaim at festivals including Marche Du Cannes, Singapore, Ajanta Ellora, Ho Chi Minh, Kolkata, Pune (PIFF), and Mirchi Superhit Marathi Film Festival.
