Bhai Bhai was directed by Nitai Palit and produced by Gour Prasad Ghose under Dalit Jatisangha Chitram. Inspired by Santanu Kumar Das’s book of the same name, the film tackled pressing social issues such as untouchability and the caste system in rural India. It starred Gour Prasad Ghose, Parbati Ghose, Samuel Sahu, and Gopal Banerjee, with music composed by Balakrishna Das and Bhubaneswar Misra. The film is remembered as one of the earliest Odia social reformist films.
