Story

Jai Jagannath is directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra and based on the ancient scripture Lakshmi Puran. The story highlights social reform themes, particularly the exclusion of lower-caste devotees from worship practices. When Goddess Lakshmi defies this discrimination, Lord Jagannath and Balabhadra face her curse, leading them to wander hungry and homeless. The film emphasizes equality, devotion, and the breaking of caste barriers. It starred Sarat Pujari, Sadhu Meheaer, Sritam Das, Jyoti Mishra, and Pintu Nanda, with music composed by Akshaya Mohanty.
