Pagala Premi

Story

Pagala Premi (transl. Crazy Lover) is a romantic drama directed by Hara Patnaik and produced by A. Ramesh Prasad. It stars Sabyasachi Mishra and Arpita Mukherjee in their debut roles. The film is a remake of the Telugu hit Arya (2004). The story follows Surya, a college student who falls in love with Gitanjali at first sight. However, Ajay, the spoiled son of a local MLA, also desires her and pressures her into accepting his proposal. Surya, believing that Gitanjali doesn’t truly love Ajay, continues to pursue her with sincerity and positivity, ultimately winning her heart. The film was simultaneously shot in Bengali as Pagal Premi.
