Chitukurinji is an upcoming Tamil romantic fantasy thriller directed and written by debutant VJ Meenakshi Sundharam. The story revolves around a revelation connecting two people from different linguistic worlds and their unfulfilled love. The film combines romance, fantasy, drama and thriller elements. The makers have also recreated a period setting around 1983, with a large village set constructed near Kodaikanal.
