Story

Maragadha Naanayam (transl. Emerald Coin) is a Tamil-language fantasy comedy directed by ARK Saravan in his debut. The film follows Senguttuvan (Aadhi), a small-time jewel thief, and his friend Elango (Daniel Annie Pope), who dream of striking it big. Their chance comes when they hear of the cursed emerald medallion, Maragadha Naanayam, which has claimed the lives of many who sought it. Despite warnings, they set out to retrieve it, aided by three summoned spirits who add humor and chaos to their journey. Along the way, Senguttuvan falls for Chanakya (Nikki Galrani), whose presence complicates matters further. The film cleverly blends supernatural elements with slapstick comedy, creating a unique mix of thrills and laughs. Supporting characters like Twinkle Ramanathan (Anandaraj), Nochukuppam Ramadoss (Munishkanth), and others add layers of eccentricity. With music by Dhibu Ninan Thomas and cinematography by P. V. Shankar, the film balances eerie atmosphere with lighthearted fun.
