Oru Nodi

The story revolves around Inspector Paruthi Ilamaaran (played by Thaman Kumar), who faces two daunting cases. The first involves the disappearance of Sekaran (portrayed by MS Bhaskar), indebted to the ruthless loan shark Karimedu Thiyagu (played by Vela Ramamoorthy), operating under the protection of the arrogant and corrupt MLA Thirugnana Moorthy. Paruthi employs his own brand of “persuasion” to extract information from Thyagu’s shady underlings through forceful interrogation tactics. Meanwhile, the murder of a young woman named Parvathy (played by Nikitha) adds another layer of complexity. As Paruthi delves deeper, he confronts a moral quandary as raw honesty surfaces from the suspects amidst the pain and fear caused by his methods. Piecing together the fragments of truth becomes his only hope in uncovering the true perpetrators behind these crimes. However, Oru Nodi tries hard to shock the audience with twists and turns, but it ends up feeling overstuffed. The abundance of suspects makes it tough to keep track, and the film meanders at times. Despite this, there are interesting elements beneath the surface, such as Paruthi’s dealings with shady characters and their versions of the truth. The ending, while not entirely surprising, remains clever and serves as a reminder that sometimes, things just happen, and people can snap in the heat of the moment.
