Story

Cherasaala is a 2025 Telugu romantic thriller drama written by Phanindra Bharadwaj and directed by Ram Prakash Gunnam, who also served as the cinematographer and played a negative-shaded role. Produced under independent backing, the film stars Sreejith, Yashvika Nishkala (making her Telugu debut), Shilpa Das, and Ramya in lead roles. Editing is by Bhanu Naag, and music is composed by Shankar Tamiri.

The story follows Vamsi (Sreejith) and Priya (Yashvika Nishkala), a couple in a four-year committed relationship. Along with their friends, they embark on a trip that leads them to a mysterious, abandoned house. What begins as a lighthearted getaway soon spirals into a chilling experience as supernatural events unfold within the house. These eerie encounters test the limits of their trust, love, and friendship. Shilpa Das and Ramya add depth to the ensemble, while Ram Prakash Gunnam’s portrayal of a dark character intensifies the suspense.

Blending romance, horror, and thriller elements, Cherasaala delivers both emotional resonance and spine-tingling moments. Critics have noted that while the horror could have been sharper, the film shines through its emotional core, offering a heartfelt message about trust and relationships alongside its supernatural thrills.
