Story

Daaku Maharaaj (transl. King of the Bandits) is a period action drama directed and co-written by Bobby Kolli. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna as Sitaram IES alias “Daaku Maharaaj,” Bobby Deol as Balwant Singh Thakur, and Pragya Jaiswal as Kave. The story follows a daring outlaw striving to survive and establish his own territory amid conflicts with powerful adversaries, ultimately battling to become a “king without a kingdom.” The narrative blends intense action, crime drama, and emotional depth, with high-octane sequences and a bittersweet ending. Music is composed by Thaman S, with cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios, the film was one of the major Sankranthi releases of 2025.
