Story

David Reddy marks Manchu Manoj’s solo comeback after nearly eight years, and his 21st film in Telugu cinema. Directed by debutant Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti, the film is set between 1897 and 1922, during India’s freedom struggle against British colonial rule. The narrative follows David Reddy, a fierce revolutionary born in the Madras Presidency and raised in Delhi, who wages war against British oppression. The first-look posters, unveiled on Republic Day 2026, depict Manoj in an intense warrior avatar, armed with his symbolic “War Dog bike” and “Death Note stick.” The film promises to blend patriotic fervor with high-octane action sequences, revisiting a turbulent period in Indian history. Produced by Nallagangula Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri, David Reddy is designed as a pan-Indian spectacle, with Ravi Basrur composing the music to heighten its emotional and dramatic impact. Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka stars opposite Manoj, adding international appeal to the project.
