Story

Dear Uma is a 2025 Telugu medical drama co-written and directed by Sai Rajesh Mahadev, with the story by Sumaya Reddy. Produced under Suma Chitra Arts, the film stars Pruthvi Ambaar (in his Telugu debut) as Dev and Sumaya Reddy as Uma. The supporting cast includes Kamal Kamaraju as Surya (Dev’s brother), Ajay Ghosh as the hospital chairman, Rajeev Kanakala as Uma’s father, Prudhvi Raj as a doctor, Kedar Shankar as Dev’s father, Pramodini Pammi as Dev’s mother, Meena Vasu as Uma’s mother, and Aamani and Rupa Lakshmi in pivotal roles. Cinematography is by Raj Thota, editing by Satya Giduturi, and music composed by Radhan.

The narrative follows Dev, a rock star who falls deeply in love with Uma, a medical student.
