Mahindra has expanded its electric SUV portfolio with the launch of the BE 6 Sporteq, bringing a fresh mix of technology, performance and personalization to the popular electric SUV. The new Sporteq range was launched in India on August 15, 2026, with prices starting at ₹19.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for outright purchase. Under Mahindra’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) ownership model, the entry price drops to ₹11.45 lakh, with an additional battery usage charge of ₹3.75 per kilometre.
The new pricing strategy is designed to make the premium electric SUV more accessible to buyers who prefer a lower upfront cost. Deliveries of the BE 6 Sporteq are scheduled to begin on August 26, 2026.
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Price
The BE 6 Sporteq range starts at ₹19.45 lakh and goes up to ₹26.95 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery configuration. The BaaS programme brings the starting price down to ₹11.45 lakh for the ONE variant, while the battery is charged separately based on usage.
Mahindra offers the Sporteq with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery packs. The lineup includes multiple variants, giving buyers more choices based on budget, range requirements and equipment levels.
Triple-Screen Interior
One of the biggest changes in the Sporteq is its upgraded cabin. Selected variants feature a new three-screen coast-to-coast cockpit, replacing the earlier dashboard design. The setup adds a dedicated display for the front passenger and gives the cabin a more technology-focused appearance.
The SUV also gets new technology features, including TEQ_Talk, an AI-powered conversational system developed with Google Gemini. Mahindra says its software architecture supports multiple AI agents and functions covering areas such as vehicle controls, navigation, music and other applications.
New Sporteq Features
The BE 6 Sporteq also introduces features aimed at making the driving experience more engaging. These include Drift Mode, Acceleration Boost, karaoke and gaming functions, along with Dolby audio support. A digital car key can also be accessed through compatible devices.
The special Launch Edition adds further visual differentiation, while the rear lighting system can display customized messages on the tailgate, giving owners another way to personalize the SUV.
With its new interior, expanded battery choices, AI-powered technology and lower BaaS entry price, the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq aims to strengthen the company's position in India's rapidly growing premium EV market.
