Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Launch Date

The Scorpio Lifestyler is scheduled to arrive in the Indian market by April 2027. Mahindra is positioning the pickup as a global product, while international markets are expected to receive it under the simpler Lifestyler name.

Expected Price

Mahindra has indicated that the entry-level Scorpio Lifestyler will be priced below ₹19.79 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The final variant-wise prices are expected to be announced closer to its market launch.

Some automotive portals currently estimate the starting price around the ₹19.79-lakh mark, but buyers should treat these figures as indicative until Mahindra announces the official price list.

Design and Styling

The Scorpio Lifestyler gets a bold double-cab pickup design with a separate cargo bed. Its front-end styling features a large grille, LED lighting elements and prominent Scorpio branding, giving it a muscular road presence.

Although it shares its architecture with the Scorpio-N family, Mahindra has made substantial design changes to distinguish the pickup from the SUV. The longer body and dedicated load bed give the vehicle a more authentic lifestyle-pickup character.

Engine and 4WD

The new pickup is confirmed to feature a 2.2-litre diesel engine and is expected to be offered with both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Mahindra has not yet disclosed the final power, torque and transmission specifications.

The availability of four-wheel drive should make the Lifestyler particularly attractive to buyers looking for an adventure-oriented vehicle capable of handling challenging terrain.

Special Editions

Mahindra has also showcased three lifestyle-focused versions of the pickup: Reef, Trail and Valley. These editions bring different exterior themes and accessories aimed at customers who want to personalise the vehicle for travel, outdoor activities and adventure.

Competition

The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to compete with established lifestyle pickups such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. Its biggest advantage could be Mahindra's ability to combine a familiar SUV nameplate, rugged construction and a potentially more competitive starting price.

With its global ambitions, rugged design, diesel power and available 4WD, the Scorpio Lifestyler could become an important new product for Mahindra. More details on variants, specifications, features and final pricing are expected ahead of its India launch in 2027.
