Ali Basha, born Mohammad Ali Basha on 10 October 1968 in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, is a veteran Indian actor and comedian. He began his career as a child artist in Nindu Noorellu (1979) and later gained recognition with Seethakoka Chiluka (1981), directed by Bharathiraja. Over the years, Ali transitioned into comedy roles and became a staple in Telugu cinema, appearing in more than 1,000 films across Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi industries. His impeccable comic timing and versatility earned him widespread acclaim.
Ali has worked closely with leading directors like Puri Jagannadh and appeared regularly in films starring Pawan Kalyan. He has won two Filmfare Awards South and two Nandi Awards for his performances. In 2013, he was conferred with an honorary doctorate by the Academy of Global Peace in Coimbatore.
