Biography

Ana de Armas grew up in Havana, Cuba, where she studied at the National Theater School of Cuba. She began her acting career in Cuban films before moving to Spain at the age of 18, where she gained recognition through the popular teen drama El Internado. Her early success in Spain opened doors to international opportunities, and she eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Hollywood.

Her breakthrough came with Blade Runner 2049 (2017), followed by her acclaimed role in Knives Out (2019), which established her as a rising star. She later portrayed Paloma in the James Bond film No Time to Die (2021) and earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in Blonde (2022), which earned her an Academy Award nomination.
