Biography
Ananya Nagalla was born on 1987-08-01 in Sathupalli, Khammam district, Telangana (then Andhra Pradesh). Her father, Venkateswara Rao, is a businessman, and her mother is Vishnu Priya. She completed her B.Tech at Raja Mahendra College of Engineering, Ibrahimpatnam, and worked at Infosys before pursuing acting. Her entry into films began with short films, including Shaadi (2017), which earned her a nomination at the SIIMA Short Film Awards. She made her feature film debut with Mallesham (2019), where she played Padma, a role that earned her critical acclaim and a nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu at SIIMA.
Her career gained momentum with Vakeel Saab (2021), where she starred alongside Pawan Kalyan, and Play Back (2021), a time-travel thriller. In 2024, she won the Gaddar Telangana Film Award for her performance in Pottel.
