Andrea Maria Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian Christian family in Tamil Nadu. Her father worked as a lawyer at the Madras High Court, while her mother was a homemaker. She attended Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai and later studied at Women's Christian College, Chennai, where she was active in theatre and music. Andrea began her career as a playback singer with the song Kannum Kannum Nokia in the Tamil film Anniyan (2005), composed by Harris Jayaraj.
Her acting debut came in 2007 with Gautham Menon’s Pachaikili Muthucharam, which established her as a promising actress. She went on to star in films such as Annayum Rasoolum (2013), Vishwaroopam (2013), Taramani (2017), Aval (2017), and Vada Chennai (2018). Alongside acting, Andrea has continued her singing career, contributing to numerous soundtracks and performing live. She is admired for her bold roles, strong screen presence, and artistic versatility.
