Andrin Albrecht grew up in Wattwil, Switzerland, where he developed a passion for writing and storytelling from a young age. He attended local schools before pursuing higher education at the University of Zurich, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English language, literature, and history (2014–2018). He furthered his studies with a Master’s degree in English literature and modern history (2018–2020), during which he also studied abroad at Colorado Mesa University (USA) and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). His academic journey reflects a strong interest in literature, cultural studies, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Currently, Albrecht is a PhD fellow at Friedrich Schiller University Jena under the DFG Graduate College “Modell Romantik.” His research explores Romantic genius, American literature, and transnational narratives. Alongside his academic work, he has curated exhibitions, composed music, and delivered lectures across Europe. He is also deeply engaged in creative writing, painting, and poetry, balancing scholarly pursuits with artistic expression.
