Anna Camp was born on September 27, 1982, in Aiken, South Carolina. She studied at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, graduating with a BFA. Her early career included stage performances before she gained recognition on television with her recurring role as Sarah Newlin in HBO’s True Blood (2009–2014).
She achieved mainstream fame as Aubrey Posen in the Pitch Perfect franchise (2012–2017), showcasing her comedic timing and vocal talent. Camp has also appeared in The Good Wife, The Mindy Project, Mad Men, and more recently starred in You (2025) and Scream 7 (2026). Her versatility across genres has made her a familiar face in both mainstream and independent productions.
