Biography

Anuja Joshi, born Anuja Boma Joshi on August 19, 1993, in Virginia, USA, is an actress who has made her mark in both Indian and international entertainment industries. She grew up in a family of performers—her father, Master Alankar, was a celebrated child actor in Hindi cinema, and her aunt, Pallavi Joshi, is a National Award-winning actress. From a young age, Anuja was immersed in the arts, training in Hindustani classical music and participating in musical theatre during her school years.
 

She pursued her higher education at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she honed her skills in acting and film. Anuja made her film debut in 100: The Tribute (2014) and gained widespread recognition for her role as Rivanah Bannerjee in MX Player’s thriller web series Hello Mini (2019). Her performance was praised for its intensity and depth, establishing her as a rising star.

Beyond acting, Anuja is a trained singer and dancer, reflecting her versatile artistic background. She married fellow actor Ankur Rathee, and together they represent a new generation of Indian actors bridging global cinema. Anuja continues to balance her career between Mumbai, New York, and Los Angeles.
