Anula Navlekar was born and raised in Mumbai, where she developed an early interest in performing arts. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Christ University, Bangalore, focusing on literature, psychology, and performing arts. Later, she refined her craft by completing her Master of Fine Arts at Yale University’s prestigious David Geffen School of Drama.
Her acting career began with B.A. Pass (2012), where she played Chhoti. She went on to star in Brahman Naman (2016), which premiered at Sundance, and gained popularity with her role as Akshata Sharma in the web series What the Folks. She continues to balance theatre and screen work, with recent projects including Companion (2023) and Netflix’s Soup.
