Anusha Dandekar grew up in Kingsgrove, Sydney, in a Marathi family originally from Pune. She moved to Mumbai in the early 2000s to pursue a career in entertainment. Her television debut came with MTV’s House of Style (2002), and she quickly became one of the most recognizable faces on Indian youth television. She hosted popular shows like MTV Dance Crew, MTV Teen Diva, and India’s Next Top Model.
Her film debut was in Mumbai Matinee (2003), followed by Viruddh (2005), where she starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan. She later appeared in Delhi Belly (2011) and Anthony Kaun Hai? (2006). Beyond acting, Anusha is also a singer and fashion icon, known for her advocacy on women’s empowerment and body positivity.
