Anusree Nair, often known simply as Anusree, was born on 1990-10-24 in Kamukumchery, Kollam district, Kerala. She grew up in a middle-class family with her father Muraleedharan Pillai, a clerk at the Kerala Water Authority, and her mother Shobhana, a homemaker. She also has an elder brother named Anoop. Her schooling was at Indira Gandhi Memorial Vocational Higher Secondary School, Manjakala, Kollam, where her passion for acting began. She later pursued a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Her entry into films came through Lal Jose’s Diamond Necklace (2012), which marked her debut as a lead actress. Since then, she has acted in several successful Malayalam films, earning recognition for her natural acting style and strong screen presence. Over the years, she has built a reputation as one of the most versatile actresses in the industry, balancing commercial and critically acclaimed roles.
