Biography

Arjun Mathur, born on 1981-10-18 in London, England, is a British-Indian actor who works predominantly in Hindi films, web series, and television. He grew up in New Delhi and Mumbai, attending St. Columba’s School (New Delhi), St. Mary’s School (Mumbai), and The British School (New Delhi). Later, he trained in acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, New York.

He began his career with small roles in films like Kyun! Ho Gaya Na… (2004) and gained recognition through Mira Nair and Farhan Akhtar’s short films Migration and Positive (2007), part of the “AIDS Jaago” project. His breakthrough came with Luck By Chance (2009) and My Name Is Khan (2010). Internationally, he appeared in the British drama series Indian Summers (2015). His most acclaimed role is Karan Mehra in Amazon Prime Video’s Made in Heaven (2019–present), which earned him an International Emmy nomination for Best Actor in 2020.

Arjun is married to Tiya Tejpal. His parents are Rakesh Mathur and Reynoo Mathur, and he has two siblings, Gautam Mathur and Sonia Mathur Kaul.
