Asmita Sood

Asmita Sood, born on 20 December 1989 in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, is an Indian actress and model who has worked across Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi entertainment industries. A commerce graduate from the University of Delhi, she began her career in modeling after participating in Channel V’s reality show Get Gorgeous in 2010. She later became a finalist in the Femina Miss India 2011 pageant, which opened doors to her acting career. Her film debut came with the Telugu movie Brahmi Gadi Katha (2011), followed by roles in Kannada films like Victory (2013) and Malayalam anthologies such as 5 Sundarikal (2013).

Asmita gained wider recognition on television with her role as Meher Purohit in Star Plus’s Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil (2015), and later appeared in Sony TV’s Dil Hi Toh Hai. Alongside acting, she has endorsed over 40 brands and is also a professionally trained Kathak dancer, which adds to her artistic versatility. Known for balancing modeling, films, and television, she continues to be admired for her adaptability and strong screen presence.
