Biography

Konidela Chiranjeevi, also known as Mega Star Chiranjeevi, is an Indian actor, producer, dancer, singer, voice artist, and politician. He has starred in over 150 films primarily in Telugu cinema, and is considered one of the most influential actors in Indian cinema history. 

Chiranjeevi was born on August 22, 1955 in Mogalthur, a small village near Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh. He attended the Madras Film Institute, and his first movie was Punadirallu (Foundation Stones). He has also starred in Pranam Khareedu (The Value Of Life), Manavoori Pandavulu, Tayaramma Bangarayya, and Kukka Katuku Cheppu Debba. 

Chiranjeevi is known for his charitable work, and founded the Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation in 1998. He is also the first South Indian star to be invited to the Academy Awards, which he did in 1987.
